Chocolate Granola


2 cups rolled oats

1/2 cup slivered or flaked almonds

1/2 cup desiccated coconut

1/2 cup seeds (sunflower, pumpkin, flaxseeds etc)

1 tsp vanilla paste

3 tbsp honey/maple syrup

3 tbsp organic coconut oil

1 tbsp cacao powder

rind of 1 orange, finely grated zest

1/2 cup of dried cranberries (or other dried fruit of choice)


Pre-heat over to 180 degree Celsius

Line a large baking tray with baking paper.

Place oil dry ingredients into a large bowl.

Heat honey until thinned or use maple syrup and melt coconut oil.

Add melted mixture to the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon or spatula and until well incorporated.

Spread mixture onto prepared tray and bake for approximately 15 minutes.

Stir the muesli and bake for another 5 minutes or until golden.

Leave to cool and then add the dried fruit stirring well.

Store muesli in an airtight container.
