Homemade Almond Milk

Fresh almond milk doesn't store well for more than a couple of days so only make what you can use.  Store in airtight bottles or jugs in the fridge and shake well before pouring.

1 cup almonds

3-4 cups water

Place almonds and 2 cups of water in a blender.

Blend until almonds resemble small crumbs.  Liquid will be white and opaque.

Drain through a milk bag or muslin over a large bowl.

Squeeze out remaining liquid and transfer into bottles or jugs, add extra water to taste.

Store in fridge.
